A life you love

Shatter Me - Tahereh Mafi I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this book. It certainly wasn't "as riveting as The Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men." BUT speaking of X-Men, Was the ending screaming X-Men to anyone else, or was that just me? I mean seriously, that one guy was Erik Lensherr but less evil and more boring, and the people's revealed abilities seemed like they were ripped off of X-Men. Thinking back, Juliette's ability is also in X-Men. Right? . Honestly, part of this book was frustrating. Too many coincidences that were just there to make it easier on the author and Juliette kept noticing how sexy and lustful Adam (and sometimes Warren) was in the most inconvenient places. They seriously couldn't keep their hands off each other and the whole time I was banging my head against an invisible wall. As for the ending, the underground seems too...peaceful. Too happy. Not at all complex. I mean, they exist for mutants people with special abilities to strike back against the Reestablishment, but Castle, Sorry, I get distracted.the leader of the movement, seems so one-dimensional. I hope he has an evil side coming out later on.
